Taylors Lakes Primary School is one of the larger primary schools in the north western City of Brimbank. Our school was established in 1989 and has a current enrolment of 700.
The school is centrally located within the developed residential area of Taylors Lakes. It shares a site with Taylors Lakes Secondary College and this facilitates interaction and transition between our schools.
Our school facilities comprise four quality permanent buildings with two separate blocks for Administration and Library, Art/Craft, Music and Physical education. There are two blocks of open plan classrooms that have excellent withdrawal, wet and storage areas including a multi-media centre. Our latest permanent building (completed in 2002) houses a further seven classrooms. The Barbary Crescent pre-school also operates within the school grounds.
Our grounds are well developed and include gardens, seating, trees/shade, additional graded areas and three adventure playground areas, two asphalted basketball courts and the recently redeveloped oval that provides for active sports and games.
A fully operational Canteen and our great Out of School Hours Care program operate out of the building that includes our school gymnasium.
A culture of cooperation between parents and staff is well established in our school and contributes significantly to the high academic achievement of our students. This is reflected in the extremely high levels of satisfaction that are consistently achieved in the Departments annual Student, Teacher and Parent Opinion surveys.
