School Hours

Our school day at Taylors Lakes Primary School begins at 8:55am and concludes at 3:10pm.

Our session times are as follows:

Session 1: 8:55am - 9:55am

Session 2: 9:55am -  10:55am

Recess:    10:55am - 11:20am

Session 3: 11:20am - 12:20pm

Session 4: 12:20pm - 1:20pm

Lunch in classrooms: 1:20pm - 1:30pm 

Lunch Break (outside): 1:30pm - 2:10pm

Session 5: 2:10pm - 3:10pm

Term Dates

* Each year government schools are provided with four student-free days for professional development, school planning and administration, curriculum development, and student assessment and reporting purposes. The first day of Term 1 is a student-free day in all government schools to allow for appropriate planning to take place for the arrival of students.

Term 1: 30th January (students start) - 28th March

Term 2: 15th April - 28th June

Term 3: 15th July - 20th September

Term 4: 7th October - 20th December

2025

Term 1: 29th January (students start) - 4th April

Term 2: 22nd April - 4th July

Term 3: 21st July - 19th September

Term 4: 6th October - 19th December

IT’S NOT OK TO BE AWAY

Regular attendance at school is important.
If your child misses the basic skills in primary school they can experience difficulties with their learning.
Regular attendance is essential to make sure learning is not disrupted.
The school should be notified of the reason for a child’s absence, preferably using the FlexiSchools app,

Use FlexiSchools for an Absence Note:

1. Go to your FlexiSchools app
2. Tap on Whole School
3. Tap on Absence
4. Fill in your child's name, grade, reason for absence and date
5. Sign and add your email for a reference

This message is sent directly to the school email so the office can record the absnece and the teacher is notified.

Canteen

The school canteen provides lunches five day per week. The preferred way or ordering is using the QKR app. Alternatively, an order can be made using a paper bag. Write the child's name, grade and order on a brown paper bag containing money. Children place this in their grade's lunch order basket, which is taken to the canteen and returned with the made up order at lunchtime.

Early Collection of Students


If you come to collect your child early from school you need to come to the office and use the iPad to sign your child out. You will recieve an Early Leave Pass and your child can be called to the office.
